Inside the gilded border of each plate are smaller flowers. Extremely rare and Collectible. ALL pieces are 1 first quality! The set includes:\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e- 5 x plates are from Meissen Academic period (1763-1774). The base with a Crossed-Swords Mark with a dot between the Hilts, for the Meissen Porcelain Factory of the Academic Period;\u003cbr\u003e- 2 x plates are from Meissen Marcolini (1774-1815) marked with blue with crossed swords and star between the pommels. Meissen Marcolini is known for producing a variety of porcelain pieces, including bowls and plates, during his tenure as director of the Meissen porcelain factory. Some of his most notable plates feature flower motifs, which were a popular design element during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. These plates were often decorated with intricate and detailed floral designs, and were made using high-quality porcelain. They were highly sought after by collectors and are still considered to be some of the finest examples of Meissen porcelain from the Marcolini period.
